THE FOUNDATION 10. AUGUST (2020-2022)

Johanne Zhangija Ihle-Hansen was killed on 10 August 2019, and the Al-Noor mosque in Bærum was subjected to a terrorist attack. The murder and terrorist attack were motivated by far-right ideology, racism and Muslim hatred. Following the attack, the Al-Noor Mosque took the initiative to establish the Foundation 10. August.

These images are taken between 2020 until 2022 and depicting the heroes that stopped the terrorist attack, and the process of rebuilding the mosque and the memory- and learning centre now created in the same building.
